Dr. Andrew Hou is an Interventional Spine physician specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of neck and low back disorders. Interventional Spine Care is the subspecialty of medicine which evaluates and treats painful spinal disorders using percutaneous, x-ray guided procedures.
Prior to receiving his medical education, Dr. Hou grew up in the Bay Area and studied Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating from the prestigious Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Hou completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He continued his training with an additional subspecialty fellowship at the renowned VCU Spine Center at the Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital.
Dr. Hou founded and developed the Interventional Spine Care Center at a large private practice in Richmond, Virginia. He had the recent honor of receiving the “Best Bedside Manner” award, voted on by patients in Virginia.
Dr. Hou is excited to be back …in the Bay Area, which he considers his home. In his free time, he enjoys Goruck and Tough Mudder obstacle endurance events, training in martial arts, playing paintball with his children, and running Disney races with his wife.​
