Dr. Capito, a dual-certified hand surgeon and plastic/reconstructive surgeon, earned his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in integrated plastic surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and a fellowship in hand and upper extremity at Curtis National Hand Center. He joined Carilion Clinic in 2015, specializing in hand surgery at the Institute for Orthopaedics and Neurosciences and elective cosmetic procedures at Carilion Clinic Cosmetic Center. Dr. Capito’s goal is to improve his patients’ quality of life by restoring function, reconstructing defects, or enhancing body image, ensuring informed and prepared decisions for surgical or non-surgical procedures.
