Dr. Hernandez-Rey completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the UMDNJ School of Medicine. Dr. Hernandez-Rey is a member of numerous professional societies such as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the American College of Surgeons. He is currently serving a three year term as District Chair for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists.
Dr. Hernandez-Rey has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings, and has served as Principal Investigator and co- investigator in multiple National Institute of Health funded studies. He serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the prestigious peer reviewed journal Fertility & Sterility, and has …published several articles and chapters in the medical literature.
His interests are primarily Fertility Preservation in Cancer (and patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), Polycystic Ovary
