Dr. Arturo Gonzalez

Arturo Gonzalez, MD, FAAP
Dr. Gonzalez is board certified in Pediatrics, and has been practicing in Arizona since 1993. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He completed his residency at St. Vincent%u2019s Medical Center/New York University Medical program where he was chief resident and was given the distinguished Mario Merlino, M.D. Award for most outstanding resident. He practices Pediatrics in a single specialty group practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has been involved with the AzAAP (Arizona American Academy of Pediatrics) chapter as the Medical Home Project co-chair, C.A.T.C.H Facilitator, Secretary, Vice-President and most recently as President elect of the chapter. He has been a community clinical preceptor for Phoenix Children%u2019s Hospital from 2000-present. He is actively involved with Partnership for a Drug Free America. As of December 2008 he was appointed to Governor Napolitano’s First Things First Board for a term that ends in …2011. He has been recognized as one of the %u201CTop Docs%u201D by %u201CRanking Arizona Annual Report%u201D, %u201CBest Doctors in America%u201D , %u201C101 magazine%u201D and %u201CTop Pediatricians%u201D by the Consumers Research Council of America. He is married to a Pharmacist, and has three daughters, two of which are identical twins. He speaks fluent Spanish, enjoys traveling, deep sea fishing and most recently learning how to play the guitar.
