Dr. Avi-Abraham Setton, MD

Avi Setton, MD joined the North Shore-LIJ Health System in 2003 and is the Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology and Co-Director of the Brain Aneurysm Center. Dr. Setton directed the installation of the state-of-the-art neurointerventional suite at North Shore University Hospital and supervises all aspects of neurointerventional procedures. Prior to joining North Shore-LIJ Dr. Setton was the Medical Director of the Center for Endovascular Surgery at the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. | Dr. Setton has been in the vanguard in interventional neuroradiology, beginning with his residency training in the mid-1980’s at Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Israel, where he trained extensively in interventional vascular radiology. Dr. Setton has been involved in research and in numerous studies devoted to exploring and advancing the effectiveness of interventional neuroradiology. He has been the lead author or co-author of 31 publications and 79 …abstracts and presentations. Recognized by his peers around the world, Dr. Setton is a frequent presenter at major conferences and symposiums for interventional neuroradiologists and endovascular specialties.
