Dr. Barbara Newman Malone, MD

Dr. Barbara N Malone, MD, is a Board-Certified ENT specialist with Midwest Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists.
Dr. Malone graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Minnesota Hospitals, in Minneapolis. She additionally completed a sub specialty focused fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Dr. Malone has received Board Certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
In addition, she has served as Chief of Staff at Children’s Hospital (1993), Chief of Surgery for Children’s Hospital and Clinics (1996-1999), and Chief of Peer Review of the Anesthesia, Surgical Pathology Division (2000-2004). Dr. Malone also served as a Director of the Board of Children’s Hospital of Minnesota (2000-2006).
Dr. Malone’s expertise in pediatric otolaryngology head and neck surgery makes her an excellent resource for …teaching and educating health care providers in the Midwest on cutting edge pediatric otolaryngology techniques and procedures. She has been featured in the local media, appearing both on television and in newsprint.
A leading advocate of pediatric medicine in Minnesota, Dr. Malone, is actively involved as a member of local and national medical associations including; the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the Society of Ear, Nose, and Throat Advance in Children; the American Medical Association; and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Due to her expertise and care of her patients Dr. Malone is also one of a handful of physicians in the Twin Cities who has been named Top Doctor in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine every year since the inception of the award in 1996.
Dr. Malone has been caring for our community as a physician of Midwest ENT Specialists since 1988.
