Dr. Chandra M. Ivey is director of the Division of Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing in the Department of Otolaryngology. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology. Dr. Ivey completed medical school at Weill-Cornell Medical College and completed her otolaryngology residency at the University of Cincinnati, in Cincinnati OH. She then entered Laryngology fellowship with Dr. Peak Woo at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Ivey is Board Certified in Otolaryngology. She is a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Ivey has established herself as a laryngologist in private practice since 2007. She has had clinical appointments at Mount Sinai, Beth Israel, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary during that time. Dr. Ivey specializes in the dysphonic patient and performs in-office evaluation, biopsy, and treatment when possible. She has expertise in laryngeal EMG, laryngeal BOTOX, in-office injection …laryngoplasty, in-office laser treatment for benign lesions, FESST, trans-nasal esophagoscopy, and a variety of laryngeal reconstructive procedures. She is currently leading investigation of sensory testing in the larynx and its role in safe diet recommendation.
