Chelsea Zimmerman, M.D. is a member of the team at Endocrinology and Metabolism of East Alabama. Dr. Zimmerman earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed both her residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Zimmerman has received several awards, including the Audrey Lincourt Schiebler Award for Excellence in Child Advocacy and the Childrenu2019s Miracle Network Research Award. She has also participated in research on diabetes technology, trained school nurses and staff to care for children with diabetes, and volunteered at multiple camps for children with diabetes. Dr. Zimmerman and her husband, Arthur, have two children, Samuel and Hazel. In her spare time, Dr. Zimmerman enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her family. Dr. Zimmerman is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible for pediatric endocrinology.
