Dr. Christina Sanchez Woodson

Christina is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and former Clinical Social Worker who combines empathy and a strong understanding of psychopharmacology to provide comprehensive mental health treatment. Mental Health conditions treated include depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/bereavement, adjustment disorder, ADHD, and OCD. Christina is passionate about mental health advocacy, client-centered care, and building a strong and effective therapeutic relationship. Christina completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Columbia University and worked for many years as an inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric Social Worker. Eventually, she decided to take her passion for neurobiology and medication treatment of psychiatric conditions, and returned to school, completing an accelerated Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from Virginia Commonwealth University. Christina then attended the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Master’s degree in Nursing, …with a specialty in primary mental health care (MSN-PMHNP). Utilizing both medication management and therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, she provides high-quality care. Today’s world presents challenges that affect the well-being of all people, especially those facing mental health issues and life transitions.
