Dr. Christopher Johansen, radiologist and director of KRMC’s breast imaging program, is one of the top experts in the United States in the early detection of breast cancer using breast tomosynthesis and other imaging technologies. He, along with KRMC’s three other radiologists; Dr. Wade Alleman, Dr. Kale Bodily, and Dr. Douglas Brandt have come to Kingman from Mayo Clinic. All have extensive training and experience in the latest imaging technologies and techniques for screening and diagnosing breast cancer.
Additionally, Dr. Johansen recently completed a one-year fellowship in Breast Imaging through Harvard Medical School at Massachusetts General Hospital, which is where breast tomosynthesis and other advanced breast imaging technologies were pioneered.
With his expertise, Dr. Johansen is leading a cohesive multispecialty approach to breast care in our community. This approach involves radiologists, surgeons, oncologists, primary care doctors and other healthcare professionals …working together to not only save lives from breast cancer, but to provide thorough, compassionate, and effective care to its victims.
