Dr. Fecarotta is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook and then attended SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he received his Doctorate of Medicine in 2007. After internship, he completed his residency training at Wills Eye Institute/Thomas Jefferson University and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Indiana University.
Dr. Fecarotta was a co-editor of the Wills Eye Manual, 6th Edition and is currently working on another book for parents of children with cataracts or glaucoma. His column, “Pediatric Patient,†appears quarterly in the magazine Review of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Fecarotta’s research interests broadly include management of pediatric eye disease and prevention of vision loss. He is particularly interested in management of retinopathy of prematurity, complex strabismus, and amblyopia.
