After graduating as valedictorian from her high school, Dr. Parnes attended Tufts University, MA. She received her undergraduate degree in biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude. From there she went to Vanderbilt …University Medical School, in Nashville Tennessee. Finishing in the top of her class, Dr. Parnes did her residency in a top teaching facility, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, New York City.
As chief resident she had many opportunities for employment in New York City but decided to head back to New Jersey where she grew up. Dr. Parnes enjoys the suburban lifestyle New Jersey offers with the cultural diversity of nearby New York City. She also enjoys soduku, crossword puzzles, traveling and loves raising her two daughters.
Dr. Parnes has been practicing in Bergen County since 1989 when she joined an established OB/GYN practice.
She is board certified in OB/GYN with yearly recertification and a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN.
In January 2006 Dr. Parnes decided to devote her practice entirely to all aspects of gynecological medicine. So after 16 years of practicing obstetrics and gynecology she opened the Gyn/Woman’s Health Issues practice in Paramus, New Jersey and in 2010 NJ Women’s Wellness Center in Montvale.
