Dr. Clayton Randall Polowy, MD

Dr. Polowy joined Desert Oncology in 2004 and has been practicing with Ironwood Cancer Research Centers since their merger in 2012. He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Polowy completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and was named Senior Resident of the Year. He continued his training at Rush and completed his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and also served as Chief Fellow. In August of 2003, Dr. Polowy presented his research at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer meeting in Vancouver, B.C. After joining Desert Oncology, in just his second year at Banner Desert Medical Center, he was nominated Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine in 2005. He maintains an active practice treating all types of adult cancer and benign blood disorders. Dr. Polowy also continues to work closely with physicians at the Desert …Endovascular Center in the treatment of blood clotting syndromes. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
