Dr. Cristy A. Wong, MD

I was born and raised in Panama in a multicultural family of Chinese and Hispanic descent. My husband and I enjoy raising our three boys in a diverse place like Central Florida, and I enjoy practicing here too. As a primary care pediatrician, I can build relationships with the families and kids I treat, which is a key reason I chose this field.
I love working with children. Their innocence, their sincere smiles, their creativity and imagination, their big hearts and little hands brighten my day — every day! I also like working with their families.
I strongly believe that parents and physicians have a mission to offer children a good education and a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy providing patients and families with tools to learn new habits so they can build the kind of environment that promotes health and enjoyment. We should work together toward empowering kids to make the right choices about school, life and staying healthy.
I am committed to helping and guiding kids who are trying to …manage their weight, and that means encouraging them and involving their families. Working together, we can create a supportive environment that makes the transition to healthy living easier. I try to give patients and parents the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about incorporating physical activity, nutrition, quality foods and good food choices into daily living.
