Dr. Hanna has been an obstetrician and gynecologist in private group practice with Partners in OB/GYN since 1989. She attended St. Mary Academy Bayview for High School, Class of 1977. She is a graduate of Villanova University, Class of 1981, where she received a B.S. in Biology, magna cum laude. She received her M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants’ Hospital. Dr. Hanna is an assistant clinical professor Warren Albert School of Medicine at Brown University. She is on the hospital staff of Women & Infants’ and Rhode Island Hospitals. Together, she and her husband, George Hanna, a cardiologist, have four children. Dr. Cynthia Hanna is the daughter of the late Dr. John J. Coughlin. Her practice is currently limited to gynecology only.
