Dr. Dale A. Kates

Dr. Dale Kates, D.D.S.
Dr. Kates is a native Clevelander who grew up on Cleveland’s East side and attended Hawken School. He graduated from Earlham College and received his dental degree from Howard University. He then completed his two-year orthodontic specialty training residency at Howard University in 1992.
Dr. Kates strongly believes in the diversity of culture and thus has traveled extensively throughout the world. His travels have taken him to Kenya, Africa to study animals in their natural habitat and also to England to study at England’s Kings College of Medicine to further his knowledge of dentistry and the human body.
Dr. Kates is committed to his profession and his local community. He is active in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, National Dental Association and the Forest City Dental Society. He also sits on the board of directors at Cuyahoga Community College as well as the Cleveland Boys …Choir.
Personally, Dr. Kates is married to Dr. Georgianna Perara Kates and has a son named Grant and a daughter named Sydney. He enjoys golf, basketball and deep sea fishing.
Dr. Kates’ belief in treating his patients as if they were his family has created a strong sense of comfort and caring for his many patients and their families.
