Dr. Daniela Ecaterina Rusovici, MD

Dr. Rusovici is originally from Europe (Bucharest, Romania) and has earned a combined M.D. Ph.D. degree. She completed her medical internship at University of Maryland Union Memorial Hospital and she went on to complete her Neurology Residency at University of Florida Gainesville. While there %u2013 she was fortunate to be mentored by Dr. Kenneth Heilman %u2013 one of the founders of behavioral neurology. She conducted clinical research and won the Heilman Research Award for Neurology Residents in her graduating class. She gained extensive experience in evaluating and treating memory disorders %u2013 such as Alzheimer%u2019s dementia and was also privileged to train in the UF Movement Disorder Clinic working with an elite group of neurologists and gaining expertise in diseases such as Parkinson%u2019s and Parksinons plus syndrome.
After completing her Neurology residency she went on to Emory University where she completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology with an emphasis on …Neuromuscular diseases. During her fellowship at Emory University – Dr. Rusovici had acquired significant experience in the accurate diagnostic and treatment of various nerve diseases (neuropathies), muscle diseases (i.e. myopathies) and neurodegenerative diseases such as Lou Gehrig%u2019s disease (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).
Dr. Rusovici has been named one of America%u2019s Top Physicians in 2011. She is board certified in Neurology and an active Member of the American Academy of Neurology.
