Hello from sunny Newport Beach, California!
I’m David Bell, DDS, and I specialize in orthognathic surgery—a field where precision meets compassion. Nestled in the heart of Orange County and just a short drive from Los Angeles, my practice is a sanctuary for those seeking transformative changes through jaw surgery, not only to enhance facial aesthetics but also to improve essential functions like breathing, chewing, speaking – and ultimately – living life to it’s very fullest.
From my earliest days, building model airplanes out of balsa wood, to developing a profound love for architecture and design, and later, becoming obsessed with painting and sculpture, I have always been captivated by the art of creation. This early obsession evolved into a love for sculpting the human form in a way that marries beauty with functionality – and ultimately making others happy, which is what makes me happy. Each person brings a unique story and vision to my office, and …I am committed to turning those visions into reality with care and precision. I approach each relationship with an open heart and a listening ear because I believe the foundation of great care is built on understanding and trust. My goal is to connect with you on a deep level, to truly grasp the hopes and dreams you bring through my door. Together, we explore what’s possible, often discovering that the limits are far beyond what was imagined.
In my practice, I utilize the latest advancements in technology such as 3dMD® 3D-photographic imaging, 3D-printed surgical guides, and custom 3D-printed titanium hardware. These tools help us achieve not just good results, but extraordinary ones—precisely tailored to your deepest functional and physiological needs, and your aesthetic desires.
A unique aspect of my surgical approach is performing surgery before orthodontic treatment where possible. This method minimizes your time in treatment, often reduces discomfort, and accelerates your recovery, allowing you to return to your life feeling rejuvenated and confident sooner. To my knowledge, I am the only one globally performing a five-piece mandibular osteotomy, a procedure that radially expands the lower jaw, maximally optimizing facial cosmetics and dramatically expanding the airway. I am grateful to have received firsthand training in this technique.
Deciding to undergo surgery is a profound journey, and I am here to guide you every step of the way. Whether you are traveling from the bustling city of Los Angeles or living locally in Orange County, I am here to provide a comforting hand and a professional eye. We will navigate this transformative process together, focusing on improving every smile, every conversation, and every meal for the rest of your beautiful life.
I warmly invite you to share your story with me. Let’s embark on a life-enhancing journey that will not only change how you look but will deeply enrich how you experience every precious moment of your life. Let’s craft a future where you feel rejuvenated, confident, and truly balanced.
