Dr. David Langer is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and its medical school. He remained at Penn for his neurosurgical training which he completed under the direction of Eugene Flamm until 1998. Upon the completion of his residency he joined Dr. Flamm as his first neurovascular fellow at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery (INN). He also was a visiting attending at Academisch Zeikenhuis Utrecht in the Netherlands where he studied laser assisted cerebral bypass surgery and hopes to develop this technique in the USA. He remained on faculty following his fellowship and is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Attending Neurosurgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Langer’s clinical interests include neurovascular surgery including arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms and carotid artery disease as well as complex spinal disorders and brain tumors. He additionally has developed a …number of research interests in brain revascularization and RNA gene therapy. Dr. Langer is the author of many papers and chapters in and has lectured nationally and internationally on a number of topics in neurosurgery.
