“I chose medicine as a profession because I’ve always enjoyed the science part of medicine and always wanted to help people. Cardiac electrophysiology is a field where I can apply medical and surgical skills to diagnose and treat challenging, complicated conditions and watch my patients improve dramatically. It’s very rewarding.â€
Shortly after the launch of the Cardio-Hospitalist Program at Methodist Hospital, Dr. Pederson performed the life-saving, emergency procedure to implant a permanent pacemaker in Benito’s heart. Watch Benito’s story.
