Dr. David Hertzberg graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign in 1996 with a degree in biochemistry. He then went directly to dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated in 2000. His orthodontic residency was completed at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003. Grayslake Orthodontics was formed immediately after graduation and he is the only doctor in the practice.
Dr. Hertzberg was raised in Naperville, IL, and is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. He has been working in the orthodontic field for almost 20 years, dating back to when he worked in his father’s office in Naperville.
He is a strong believer in the benefits of interceptive orthodontic treatment and has done research while in residency on the benefits of early treatment.
Dr. Hertzberg resides in Lake County with his wife, Allison, and children, Abby and Zach. They also have a beagle, Clyde.
