Dr. Denis Diaz, MD

Dr. Diaz is a board-certified pediatrician who is an expert in all aspects of pediatric medicine, with a particular emphasis on preventive care and patients with special needs. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group from Duke Children’s Primary Care, a division of the Duke University School of Medicine and Duke Regional Hospital, where he served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency training at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Virginia. During service as an attending physician at the Naval Hospital/Camp Lejeune, he received the Outstanding Young Pediatrician and Specialty Teacher of the Year awards. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and his dedication to patient care is matched by his advocacy for children’s health. He sees patients from infancy to age 21 and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
