Dr. Denver J. Lyons

Dr. Denver Lyons, raised in Winchester, Virginia, graduated from the University of Virginia and earned his DDS magna cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry. He then completed a Master of Science in Dentistry and a specialty certificate in Periodontics at VCU, with advanced training in periodontal disease treatment, soft tissue and bone grafting, implant placement, and oral and IV sedation. A Board Certified Periodontist, Dr. Lyons demonstrates comprehensive mastery in periodontal disease and implant placement. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology, Virginia Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Richmond Dental Society. Initially interested in medicine, Dr. Lyons was inspired to pursue dentistry by his childhood dentist and mentor. He worked as an assistant in VCU’s Graduate Periodontics department, where he became captivated by IV sedations and …periodontal treatments. Denver is dedicated to staying current with the latest periodontal and implant therapies.
