Dr. Derrick Marcus Chan

As a dentist in San Francisco, Derrick M. Chan is a long standing member of the dental community. With over 30 years of dental experience, Dr. Chan brings both practical knowledge from years of performing dental procedures, and the ability and desire to stay at the forefront of oral health advances, to his San Francisco-based practice.
Starting practice in 1980, Dr. Chan soon became recognized as a knowledgeable and respected member of the dental community. Throughout the years, and to this day, he is an active participant in professional associations including the San Francisco Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association (ADA), and is a Diplomat for the American Board of Forensic Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Chan was designated Honored Professional in the American Directory of Who’s Who in Executives and Business in 1999 for his commitment to bringing state-of-the-art dental services to his patients at a minimal cost.
Dr. Chan understands the necessity …of staying abreast of scientific breakthroughs. Every year, new discoveries are made that enhance the dental health of many; discoveries that point the way to minimally invasive dental procedures, quicker recovery, and new cosmetic oral procedures. Dr. Chan watches these advances, and when he is sure they are viable and beneficial to his patients, he adds them to his oral health expertise and practices so that they can be offered to his patients. To point, Dr. Chan’s office boasts some of the most advanced and comprehensive sterilization and pathos-clinical barrier practices available in the dental community; in addition to the latest oral cosmetic treatments and treatment of cariers.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Chan continues to be involved with the local community. From his early days as a Jr. Asst. Scoutmaster, he has been a part of advancing San Francisco residents. In addition, Dr. Chan has served the San Francisco commnunity within the following programs:
