Destiny is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with over 4 years of experience in the mental health field who appreciates the uniqueness each person embodies. She started her career in counseling working with adults in outpatient settings who have started therapy to navigate challenges such as trauma, self-identifying/image issues, anxiety, family relationship issues, and depression and life stressors before she gravitated to residential programs working with individuals with co-occurring diagnoses. Destiny graduated from Bay Path University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her journey to becoming a psychotherapist was born out of personal experiences growing up in a community and culture where mental health was and still is stigmatized. Using a person-centered approach to therapy by integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral modification, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and strengths-based practice, she focuses …specifically on supporting and guiding individuals to actualize a sense of fulfillment in their world. Making sense of the world today and our experiences can be challenging, and sometimes we can’t figure out how to make lemonade out of lemons. Destiny is confident that she will walk this journey with you as you navigate and gain back your true self.
