Orange County is very dear to me. I was raised in Tustin and graduated from Tustin High School. I was fortunate to receive my college and medical degree from UC Irvine. I completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology and was a faculty member at the UC Irvine Medical Center. I then decided to pursue a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the same institution and spent a year on the faculty in Portland, Oregon, at the Oregon Health Sciences University. It was my experience there that made me realize that the future challenges of medicine and the opportunity to practice my specialty was best served within the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.
