Donald R. Counts, MD, attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston to earn his medical degree. He subsequently completed a family practice internship at Valley Medical Center, Frenso, California. Dr. Counts served two years of alternate service at the Flathead Indian Reservation in Hot Springs, Montanta. A fellow of AAFP, he is also affiliated with a number of professional societies and often gives lectures and workshops related to his field. Dr. Counts authored a recipe book in 1985 entitled, A Texas Family Cookbook, published by Texas Monthly Press. His other special interests include cycling, skiing, and rock climbing.
