Dr. Douglas Spiel

Douglas J. Spiel, M.D. is a Board Certified Radiologist, and a member of the World Institute of Pain. Dr. Spiel was the first radiologist in the United States to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and in recent years has served on the executive board.
As a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), he is credentialed to teach and practice abroad. In addition, Dr. Spiel sits on the editorial board of Pain Physician, the world’s preeminent pain journal and is responsible for reviewing articles prior to publication.
Dr. Spiel brings with him over 20 years of experience in the area of interventional pain. His background in radiology alongside interventional pain provides him with unique expertise to pinpoint a myriad of pain generators and treat them accordingly.
