Katie Yu is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with over 12 years of experience. She helps treats a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and sleep/insomnia in patients of all ages. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services. As a PMHNP, Katie’s role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, therapist, and medication manager. Katie earned her Master’s degree in Nursing in 2009 from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. She continued and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Frontier Nursing University in 2015. Katie possesses strong clinical skills and a natural ability to build rapport with patients and families with her compassionate care. In addition to medication management, she incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), culturally sensitive, emotionally-focused, motivational …interviewing, and person-centered techniques into each client’s treatment.
