Edward KS.. Chien, MD is a physician scientist who is active in patient care and research. He came to Women & Infants in 2004, joining the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His area of clinical expertise is in prematurity with a focus on prenatal ultrasound techniques and cervical changes in pregnancy. His research involves understanding the cervix during pregnancy. He also runs the NICHD Fetal Growth Study and is a member of the National Children’s Study Brown Study center.
