Elisha Poynter, M.D. received her medical degree from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, which is where she also completed her residency. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Poynter worked in Walton County as a family medicine physician, and then went on to become a hospitalist at several hospitals throughout Georgia. She has since returned to Walton County to join Piedmont Physicians of Monroe. Dr. Poynter sees patients of all ages. She has a special interest in weight loss management. Dr. Poynter welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
