Dr. George A. Hankerson
Dr. Hankerson is a 1968 graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School. He served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa, Japan as a captain from 1969 to 1972. He did his pediatric dentistry specialty training at the University of Minnesota from 1972 to 1974, after which he remained a full time staff member until 1976. Since then, Dr. Hankerson has been practicing as a Pediatric Dentist to help children achieve and maintain healthy smiles.
Dr. Hankerson has black belts in three different martial arts. The first in Okinawan Karate in 1972, the latest in Tae Kwon Do in 1997. He avidly enjoys the great outdoors and playing volleyball. On his days off, he can be found either at a camp site, biking, or hiking. Dr. Hankerson actively participates in his church. One of his passions is volunteering for Operation Smile in Venezuela, Peru and Viet Nam. Operation Smile is an organization which helps children with cleft palate.
