Dr. George Gregorg Stokes, MD

Dr. Stokes is a native of Ohio. He has completed all his education and medical training in Ohio. Dr. Stokes finished at the top of his class in both high school and college. He excelled in athletics at both the state and national level in all sports including swimming, water polo, basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. In fact, many of Dr. Stokes’ family members have held world records in track and have performed at the professional level in basketball and football. Being a pioneer in his family, Dr. Stokes chose to pursue a medical …education and dedicate his talents towards caring for people.
After completing his residency program in OBGYN, he joined a private practice in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. He later moved to Cleveland with his wife, who also practices medicine. At St. John’s Medical Center, Dr. Stokes became the Medical Director of the Professional Corporation, where he played the role of overseeing many of the duties of the hospitalist physicians there. During the same period, he became Medical Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology clinic, the Pediatric Urgent Care unit, and Pre-admission testing services.
To enrich his educational background and knowledge base, Dr. Stokes obtained a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall School of Law and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University. He then dedicated 14 years of his life to working as a private practitioner at North Coast OBGYN. In 2015, Dr. Stokes made the decision to transition into the private practice of OBGYN of Westlake. He is excited to join a practice where he will have the opportunity to work with a compassionate and caring physician such as Dr. Bachuwa. Dr. Stokes’ incorporation into the practice compliments existing qualities exemplified by OBGYN of Westlake. He is devoted to the practice of medicine and will be a welcoming asset to the patients and community he serves.
