Dr. George Michael Hanna, MD

Born and raised in Sarasota Florida, I completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, went on to Medical School in the Dominican Republic, following with Internal Medicine residency at a Yale affiliate institution, then Cardiology fellowship at Brown University.
I began my career at the VA hospital in Providence Rhode Island, then opened a private Cardiology Practice with my sister, a Nuclear Medicine Physician, for the next 26 years. I loved being in private practice, and loved my patients, however, my Florida roots were calling me home. In 2013 I moved back to Florida and practiced in a large multispecialty group in Largo, Florida. I enjoyed the area, the patients and the practice, but my desire has always been to return to Sarasota.
I specialize in non-invasive cardiology – and am passionate about echocardiography and lipid management. I truly enjoy all aspects of medicine. Love what I do and truly hope to make a difference.
