Dr Glen Arvid Dixon

With over three decades in practice, board-certified OB/GYN Glen Dixon, MD, FACOG, has helped countless women manage their health and prenatal care. Dr. Dixon welcomes existing patients, as well as new patients, to New England Women’s Healthcare, located in Woburn, Massachusetts.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) in Takoma Park, Maryland, Dr. Dixon was accepted into medical school. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico.
Dr. Dixon completed his internship and his obstetrics and gynecology residency with the University of Tennessee at the City of Memphis Hospital in Memphis. He ultimately became certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and earned his role as a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
To ensure he’s always offering the most advanced solutions for patients, Dr. Dixon continues his training and maintains …professional memberships. Dr. Dixon is certified in operative laparoscopic surgery and maintains memberships with the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, to name a few.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dixon has held several prestigious leadership positions in the medical field. He’s served as a clinical instructor for the family practice residency at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, a medical executive committee member for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, and a member of the board of trustees for Boston Regional Medical Center, among others.
Patients of Dr. Dixon commend his naturally compassionate bedside manner. He’s known for spending quality time with patients during visits, making sure their voices are heard and helping them with any concerns they may have.
