Dr. Greg R. Cabrera is originally from Miami, FL where he graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelors degree in Nursing. Before entering medical school he practiced as a pediatric Registered Nurse for four years at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. His medical school education was obtained at the University of South Florida in Tampa where he received the Doctor’s Doctor award and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His pediatric training was at the Emory University School of Medicine, Egleston Children’s Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital. There he was an Associate Chief Resident from 1997-1998. In 1997 he won the Emory University School of Medicine Residency Research Award and in 1998 had an article published in Pediatrics based on his research. In 1998 he received the Senior Pediatric Resident of the Year award. Dr. Cabrera opened his private practice, North Point Pediatrics in 1998. He serves on the board of directors of The …Children’s Healthcare Network, The Physicians Alliance Board and Brian Littrell’s Healthy Heart Club. Dr. Cabrera is board certified and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and is an Assistant Professor at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Cabrera is married and has two children. He resides in Alpharetta. Dr. Cabrera has a special interest in premature infants and high-risk infants.
