Dr. Gregory Echt, the son of a physician, is a board certified radiation oncologist and the founder of Choice Cancer Care. He was born and raised in the Midwest and earned both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Indiana University. After completing an internship and his residency at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California, Dr. Echt started his radiation oncology practice in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Nearly two decades later, Dr. Echt is nationally recognized for his research in treatment of prostate cancer and brachytherapy, but he receives accolades from his patients for his bedside manner and commitment to providing unparalleled patient care.
Dr. Echt sees patients at Las Colinas Cancer Center, North Texas Cancer Center at Wise …County and Prostate Seed Institute, and he provides prostate seed implantation treatment in private surgery centers across the north Texas region.
In addition to his work with Choice Cancer Care, Dr. Echt is also the co-founder and chairman of the board of the Michael C. Sandler and Peter Kenner Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer, as well as to provide support for patients with all types of cancer in the north Texas area.
Not one to forget his roots, Dr. Echt cheers for the Hoosiers, as well as the Indianapolis Colts, and as a fan of good music, you’ll find everything from classic rock to Tchaikovsky on his iPod. Dr. Echt and his wife Susan are the proud parents of a school-aged daughter and son. Dr. Echt and his family are members of Congregation Shearith Israel in Dallas.
