Dr. Gregory Vassilev, MD

Gregory Vassilev, M.D., is a pain management specialist. He is a Diplomate of the American Board Of Pain Medicine and American Board of Anesthesiology. Licensed in California and Colorado. He has been in practice since 1999. His area of expertise is the management of complex painful injuries. Dr. Vassilev began his education at the Freie Universität Berlin in Medicine before moving to the USA. He then received a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He further studied Pharmacology at Hahnemann University School of Medicine and received a MS there. Dr. Gregory Vassilev earned his M.D. at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed a prestigious Surgical Internship and Anesthesiology Residency at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Vassilev exhibits a lifelong passion for extreme sports, including windsurfing, kite surfing, surfing, snowboarding, paddle boarding and car racing. Among his special skills and areas of interest are interventional pain management, regional anesthesia, ultrasound guided pain blocks, joint rejuvenation, sports injuries and anti-aging. He is also a member of the California Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Pain Society, and American Medical Association.
