I grew up in the New York City/ Long Island area. After medical school, I entered the United States Navy as a general medical officer with the Marines stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina. During my tour I spend six months in Saudi Arabia as part of Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the Navy, I moved to San Diego to attend medical residency and fell in love with the Southern California culture and climate. I have considered San Diego my home ever since.
