Hao Huang, M.D., is fellowship trained and board-certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine (United Council for Neurological Subspecialties). Dr. Huang offers expert diagnosis and coordinated care for all types of headaches and facial pain, including but not limited to migraine disorders, cluster headache, CSF leak/low pressure headache, post-concussive headache, tension-type headache, new daily persistent headache, occipital neuralgia, and trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Huang also serves as an assistant professor of Neurology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
He works alongside Regina Krel, M.D., Headache Center Director at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center, and is supported by a highly trained neurology care team. Dr. Huang offers a full range of supportive services for patients and their families, and specializes in a number of procedures for migraine pain relief including Botox (Onabotulinum toxin A), peripheral nerve …blocks, and trigger point injections.
Dr. Huang attended the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in headache medicine at New York University Langone Health. Passionate about expanding on and sharing knowledge of headaches and treatments, Dr. Huang has contributed multiple publications to medical literature, and participates in clinical trials looking at long-term efficacy and safety of medications for headache disorders.
Dr. Huang is a member of the American Headache Society, International Headache Society, and American Academy of Neurology. He is also certified in headache medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.
