Dr. Babbar completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Jacobi Medical Center in New York City, NY where he was awarded Best Resident of the Year for both 2003 and 2004.
Following his residency, he was accepted into a three year fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and was recently awarded Best Clinic Fellow of the Year 2007-2008 .
Dr. Babbar is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. His professional interests include lung cancer and obstructive airway diseases. He and his wife have one daughter. He enjoys traveling, reading and his daughters gummy fruit vitamins.
