Dr. Henry Acosta, DMD

Dr. Henry Acosta earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He has been practicing dentistry in Auburndale since then. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Acosta was a dental lab technician for 14 years!Dr. Acosta is known as much for his warm and caring manner as for the quality of the dentistry he provides. His gentle, calm approach reassures patients that he is listening, attentive to their needs, and able to deliver the dental care they need.Rather than quick fixes, Dr. Acosta designs each patient’s treatment plan according to what is in their best interests. He focuses on efficient and comfortable treatment that ensures lasting improvement in the patient’s oral health, function, and aesthetics.Throughout his career, Dr. Acosta has constantly pursued continuing education. In addition to staying current on the latest developments in general dentistry, he has sought out advanced training that allows him to …provide comprehensive care to his patient family. Rather than referring out patients, he and his team are able to correct most issues in-house, with excellent care and ideal results.Dr. Acosta has a passion for dentistry that extends outside of the office. He has volunteered his time over the years. Currently, he is an active member of the Polk County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.He and his staff participate in community education programs such as Dental Health Month awareness, and local company and residential health fairs. The office hosts the technology day for Travis Technical College and also assists in the training of interns. He is a huge advocate for learning and education for his staff and his patients.
