Hernan Lopez Morra, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist who joined AdventHealth Medical Group in 2021 with two decades of experience. Born in Córdoba, Argentina, he earned his medical degree at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and carried out his internship at Harvard Medical School and residency at the University of Massachusetts. He thereafter completed his gastroenterology fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York.
Dr. Lopez Morra decided to become a gastroenterologist when, early in his residency, he realized that caring for patients with digestive problems was what he enjoyed most – particularly those for whom a prompt procedural intervention could make a profound difference. He practices general gastroenterology with a special focus on colon cancer screening and prevention, viral hepatitis, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
