Dr. Irfan Lalani, MD, PA, is a distinguished neurologist and pain medicine specialist with board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is currently in private practice in Sugar Land, Texas, where he brings a wealth of expertise in neurology and pain management to his patients.
Dr. Lalani graduated as valedictorian from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During his residency, he excelled as chief resident and achieved first place in a nationwide examination for neurologists in training. His groundbreaking research earned him the Texas Neurological Society’s Young Investigator Award, underscoring his commitment to advancing the field. Following his residency, Dr. Lalani completed a fellowship in anesthesia and pain medicine at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he also served as an assistant professor in …pain medicine. His extensive research and numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals highlight his expertise in contemporary pain management and neurology. Dr. Lalani is adept at performing a range of interventional pain treatments, including nerve blocks, botulinum toxin injections, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency neurotomy, and implantable nerve and spinal cord stimulators.
With his deep understanding of the nervous system and a collaborative approach to patient care, Dr. Lalani is dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plans for conditions such as back pain, neck pain, neuropathy, and headaches.
