Dr. J Bradley Cavender, MD

Dr. Brad Cavender is a distinguished interventional cardiologist known for his work with complex coronary, peripheral vascular, carotid, aortic and venous interventions. Dr. Cavender has been practicing as a general and interventional cardiologist with Cardiovascular Associates since 2004. Dr. Cavender graduated from the University of North Alabama. He earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham Alabama. He then underwent his internship and residency at UAB and fellowship in clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow of the Society Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He has held numerous senior positions at hospitals throughout Alabama and is currently …the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Suites at Brookwood- Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Dr. Cavender also offers his leadership to the CVA practice by chairing the Joint Operating Committee. Dr. Cavender sees patients at the Colonnade Parkway office and is accepting patients with the need for complex cardiac, peripheral vascular, carotid, aortic and venous interventions. He also performs procedures and visits patients at the Brookwood Baptist medical Center.
