Jay M. Wylam, D.M.D.
Dr. Jay Wylam was born in Puyallup, Washington and grew up in La Grande, Oregon. He graduated from Eastern Oregon State University in 1975 with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry and a B.S. Degree in Secondary Education. Dr. Wylam received his DMD Degree from the University Of Oregon Health Sciences Center School Of Dentistry in 1979. Following dental school Dr. Wylam served 11 years in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force Dr. Wylam completed a 3 year residency in Periodontics at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Wylam is Board Certified in the specialty of Periodontics by the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Wylam continually pursues ongoing education in the fields of Periodontics, Oral Sedation, Intravenous Conscious Sedation, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Wylam has served as President of the Oregon Society of Periodontists and the Marion-Polk-Yamhill Dental Society. He also served as a …trustee of the Oregon Dental Association. Dr. Wylam joined Dr. Seifert’s Periodontal Practice in 1991.
As a dedicated husband and father of four, Dr Wylam has been married to his college sweetheart, Ann, for over 35 years. Dr. Wylam has many interests outside the field of Periodontics. He enjoys golf, fishing, travel, photography and his grandchildren.
