Dr. Jeffrey Carl Hamm, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Hamm has performed more than 24,000 procedures on 14,000 patients over the past 25 years, making him one of the most respected and experienced cosmetic surgeons in South Florida. His dedication to helping patients look as good as they feel, while providing the highest standard of quality and service, has established his reputation as a renowned first-class surgeon. His patients have included entertainers, athletes and an international clientele. Dr. Hamm received his A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. During his graduate studies, he was a Frank Knox Memorial Fellow with the Department of Pharmacology at Oxford University in England, and he studied neuropsychopharmacology at the London Hospital Medical College in England. A fully trained chemist, Dr. Hamm served five years with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), first in the Boston Field Office and then as a …pharmaceutical specialist at the Winchester Engineering and Analytical Center, Winchester, Massachusetts. For his post-graduate work, Dr. Hamm completed a residency in general surgery, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor. He had extensive medical experience in a number of different facilities in Michigan and Florida before eventually opening his own plastic surgery practice. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin, Dr. Hamm has practiced in South Florida since 1985. He is a Specialty Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and was awarded the Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Hamm also received the Bausch and Lomb Science Award and remains a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association of Official Analytical Chemists. He is on staff as Attending Surgeon at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and he maintains affiliations with Hollywood Medical Center and Memorial Healthcare System, both in Hollywood, Florida. Additionally, Dr. Hamm has co-authored a number of publications, has been the recipient of awards throughout his academic and medical careers, and has participated in several presentations on topics ranging from digital replantation to facial tissue injuries to thoracic aortic aneurysms.
