Dr. Jeff Johnson
Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.  He has provided pediatric dental care to children in the Rockford area since 1992.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Johnson completed his Post-graduate residencies at Northwestern University and The Children’s Memorial Hospital, in Chicago. This allowed him to develop expertise in pediatric dental care.
While at Children’s Memorial he also served as Chief Dental Surgery Resident from 1991-1992. Dr. Johnson annually attends continuing education courses, which enables him to stay at the forefront of his specialty, providing optimal care for his patients. He regularly attends courses focusing on cariology, dental materials, and office management so that the most current treatment options are available …to his patients.
Dr. Johnson is a member of and served in leadership positions of local and national professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Winnebago County Dental Society, and a fellow with American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has active staff privileges at Swedish American Hospital, and Rockford Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Dr. Johnson is on the Board of Directors for the Winnebago County Dental Society. He is also dedicated to serving the local community.  He has lectured to dental societies and his most recent lecture was presented before the Winnebago County Dental Society, where he discussed current trends in pediatric dental care.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Karen, reside in Rockford. They have 4 sons, Kyle, Adam, Justin and Zach.  Dr. Johnson is currently serving as the lay director for Northern Illinois Tres Dias, a fourth day renewal community.
The reason Dr. Johnson chose the “seasonal” pictures of the home page is that it reflects the growth and changes children go through until they reach adulthood.  Also, and most importantly, all the colors of each season reflect the promises and hope that we have received from God. Genesis 9:15, “ When the rainbow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it to remember the ever lasting promise between God and every living creature that is on the earth.” That everlasting promise is in the faith and hope that comes from belief in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
