Dr. Jerold James Olson, MD

Dr. Jerold Olson is a facial plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery. A native of Southern Arizona, he was educated both as an undergraduate and medical student at the University of Arizona.
After graduating from medical school he began general surgery training at the University of Texas San Antonio, followed by a residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed a Fellowship in facial plastic surgery at the prestigious Hedgewood Surgical Center in New Orleans, LA under the preceptorship of Dr. Calvin Johnson.
Dr. Olson returned to Tucson, Arizona in 1995 as section chief of otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at the University of Arizona Medical Center. He was the first fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon in southern Arizona. While there, UMC was nationally recognized for excellence in the area of head and neck surgery. He entered private practice in the year 2001 and since …December of 2007 has been in practice with Dr. Orlick at Foothills Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Olson practices a wide range of facial plastic surgery including both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Additionally, he is involved with the Children’s Rehabilitative Services clinic for the treatment of children with congenital deformities. He has a special interest in rhinoplasty including both cosmetic and functional nasal problems. Dr. Olson has been an invited speaker on the topic of rhinoplasty both locally and internationally.
Dr. Olson is married to Mercy Olson, RN who plays an active role in the practice. They have two young children and enjoy the many outdoor activities that Southern Arizona has to offer.
