Dr. Jimmy Larry Kontos, MD

Dr. Kontos received his B.S. in Biology with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The University of North Carolina School of Medicine was also where he obtained his M.D. in 2001.
His Internal Medicine residency was at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology was at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Kontos performs many of his heart catheterizations using the radial artery through the wrist.
He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. He has been in private practice with Cardiology Gastroenterology since 2008.
